I am a BACP registered, person-centred integrated Counsellor and Psychotherapist, having studied to post-graduate level at Salford University. The nature of person-centred counselling is to offer an empathic, non-judgemental and confidential space for you to explore your feelings. Rather than giving you advice or guidance, I believe that given the right conditions and head-space to offload, you can tune into your inner compass to find a way forward. I am also trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) skills and can work with you in a more structured way if this is appropriate. I have spent the last couple of years training with Dr Gabor Maté on his Compassionate Inquiry programme and I am now a certified Compassionate Inquiry Practitioner, which gives me a trauma-informed compassionate way of working.
People turn to counselling for many different reasons including grief, trauma, depression, anxiety and relationship issues. A sense that life isn’t living up to expectations, or a feeling of being stuck and not knowing a way forward can also lead people to seek counselling. Whatever your reason for wanting to talk things through, taking the first step and seeking help can sometimes be the hardest.
I offer a safe, empathic, confidential space to support you with whatever you are working through. Sessions are tailored to your needs and can incorporate a range of wellbeing tools including Compassionate Inquiry, EFT and mindfulness in addition to the underlying approach of person-centred counselling. Sessions are usually weekly or fortnightly and run between 6-12 sessions, with the first session an opportunity to see if I am the right fit for you and to identify an intention for your therapeutic journey.
The fee for 1:1 sessions is £60/50 minutes at my therapy space in Clitheroe or via Zoom. To book in please email tanialouisetransformation@gmail.com or phone Tania on 07910 126938.
